- CR
Creases in the picture.DIS Distortion. Usually a bend or "smear"
at the very top of screen which is for the most part out of the action.
- DO
Dropouts. Due to a tracking problem, picture is filled with static from
time to time.
- EH
Some huddles are edited. Usually just a few at the end of the half.
- JIP
Joined in progress. Had to wait for the 70-0 blow out to conclude before
they could start the broadcast.
- MKO
Missing kickoff.
- MNF
ABC's Monday Night Football.
- MP
Missing plays and footage.
- LA
Low audio. Volume not turned up all the way on the Cable box.
- NP
Network problems or problems with the signal. Usually just for a short
time.
- PW
Picture wobble. Movement of the picture up and down or side to side.
- SNF
Sunday Night Football.
- TJ
Tape Jitter.
Grading
Scale:
- EX
(Excellent) - A nearly perfect copy. Either a master or an outstanding
copy. EX is a master off DSS.
- VG
(Very Good) - A less than perfect copy that is still of very good quality.
Probably a copy.
- G
(Good) - Not the clearest of pictures (faces are a little blurred) but
still viewable. Possibly a high generation copy. Possibly "snowy".
- F
(Fair) - Watchable, but not for everyone.
- P
(Poor) - Very bad copy, for diehards only. Pretty much garbage to anyone
but the dedicated fan.
